CTSim is the most comprehensive open-sourced computed tompography simulator available. Besides its use to researchers, CTSim is an excellent training tool with detailed visualization available for the simulator of collected computed tomography raw and as well as reconstruction of the image from the raw data. Recently, the CTSim web site began covering important computed tomography news on its blog.
